Take It Back, Take It On, Take It Over! reconnects 7 Seconds with the speed and communal energy of their early work while sounding lived-in rather than nostalgic. Acclaimed as a “melodic thrash-fest” that found the band “as vital as ever” by AllMusic and earning 4.5/5 from Sputnikmusic, the record showcases the fearless honesty of frontman Kevin Seconds and the band’s unwavering ability to turn every chorus into an anthemic call to action. Moving beyond typical tropes, standout tracks like “Panic Attack” tackle personal anxiety and the reality of aging with rare transparency. From the breakneck opening of “All Came Undone” to the self-aware defiance of “Y.P.H. (Your Parent’s Hardcore),” Take It Back, Take It On, Take It Over! is essential 7 Seconds—raw, real, and a barbed wire bridge between the hardcore scene the band helped build and the 21st-century punk they inspired.
