Badbadnotgood “Iii” LP

Iii puts the focus on instrumental jazz shaped by hip-hop rhythm, electric keyboards, deep bass, and modern production instincts.

• Matthew Tavares, Chester Hansen, and Alexander Sowinski build the album around keyboards, bass, and drums, with Leland Whitty adding saxophone on “Confessions.”
• III was the group's first full album of original compositions, pushing their jazz-and-hip-hop language beyond the cover versions that first made them known.
• The record received generally favorable reviews for its live-band energy, grooves, and genre-blurring musicianship.
