Coldplay “Parachutes” CD

• Coldplay's 2000 debut album.
• Includes "Yellow," "Shiver," "Trouble" and "Don't Panic."
• Close vocal performances, ringing guitar lines and restrained arrangements.

For fans of: Travis, early Radiohead, Keane

Parachutes finds its emotional scale in small details: a guitar note left ringing, a quiet piano figure or a vocal line that rises only when it needs to. Coldplay gives the songs enough rhythmic movement to keep them alive without disturbing their intimacy. The record's larger melodic moments work because they grow naturally from that patient, understated foundation.
