Dillinger is a Jamaican reggae musician. He was part of the second wave of deejay toasters who rose to prominence during the mid-1970s. With Kingston Ruler Vol. 2, Dillinger once again stamps his unique signature on Jamaican reggae. A true urban storyteller, he showcases his powerful and charismatic delivery, notably on the standout track “You’re No Good,” a highlight of the album. Shifting effortlessly from introspective poetry (“Love Of a Woman”) to festive energy (“Westbound Train”), Dillinger reaffirms his position as a key artist, skilfully blending deep vocals, offbeat humour, and captivating rhythms in a truly authentic record.
