On The Universe Will Take Care Of You, the veteran British DJ teams up with Polish clarinetist Wacław Zimpel on improvised pieces that radiate incense and speak to the pair’s ingenuity. Woodwind loops are warbled by unique plugins, spatial mixing, and Holden’s own Benny software. Interpolating kosmische, 20th century Minimalism, and Moroccan Gnawa, The Universe Will Take Care Of You is wonderfully discordant.
