Jess Kerber "The World Is Dark, but I Want It to Be Funny" (Neon Pink Vinyl) LP

Shipping 11.4.

• The Nashville songwriter's second LP for Felte, led by the single Changing.
• Delicate acoustic guitar, piano, and close harmonies frame songs about memory, relationships, and uncertainty.
• Primarily recorded at home with Will Orchard; features Emily Hines and Constant Smiles.

The World Is Dark, but I Want It to Be Funny finds Jess Kerber attending to the emotional weight of ordinary moments. Her rich tenor and detailed guitar work carry songs that reflect on personal history and the effort of staying connected in an uncertain world. Recorded largely in a home studio at an unhurried pace, the album gives its small gestures and direct observations room to settle.

Edition: Neon Pink Vinyl.
