Two-CD deluxe collection of the 1972 One to One concerts at Madison Square Garden.
Features John Lennon, Yoko Ono, the Plastic Ono Band and Elephant's Memory.
Newly mixed afternoon and evening performances include "New York City" and "Come Together."
For fans of: The Beatles, Yoko Ono, Leon Russell
Power to the People documents Lennon and Ono bringing their songs into a loose, full-band concert environment. Familiar material acquires a different rhythmic weight through Elephant's Memory, with the performances moving between direct rock and more exploratory passages. Hearing the two shows together makes room for differences in phrasing, ensemble balance and the charged atmosphere surrounding the music.
