Texas ensemble led by Neil Lord of Future Museums with Michael C Sharp, Kristine Reaume, and Dailey Toliver.
Flute, guitar, keyboards, and percussion connect new age atmosphere with jazz and psychedelic improvisation.
Mixed by Ben Greenberg and mastered by Andrew Weathers.
For fans of: Laraaji, electric Miles Davis, and pastoral kosmische music.
Boredom Euphoria gives the drifting atmosphere of Neil Lord's electronic work an organic ensemble setting. Joys Union Group builds patient, sunlit pieces around softly shifting rhythms and melodic interplay, letting flute, guitar, and keys share space without crowding the music. The result sits comfortably between ambient listening and a quietly unfolding jam.
"Cloud Paint" introduces the album's serene character before the title track adds a gently swinging pulse. "Fragile Chrysalis" brings more weight and motion, while "Laughter in the Sky" returns to a lighter melodic current. The group makes its stylistic crossings feel natural, with texture and collective responsiveness guiding each piece.
