Lizard gives King Crimson's early music an unusually dense palette of brass, woodwind, keyboards and guitar. Delicate melodic passages can shift into crowded, unstable ensemble writing, with the long title suite allowing several different musical scenes to unfold. This expanded audio edition offers multiple perspectives on the arrangements and the studio work behind their distinctive, intricate atmosphere.
