Lee Fields "Let's Get a Groove On" LP

• Reissue of Fields' 1998 album
• Remastered for its return to vinyl
• A blend of hard funk, deep soul, and rhythm-and-blues

For fans of: James Brown, Charles Bradley, and Sharon Jones.

Let's Get a Groove On captures Lee Fields at the intersection of gritty funk and emotional soul. Punchy horns and a locked-in rhythm section frame his forceful vocals, while the quieter moments reveal his command of a ballad. The album is an essential part of the early Desco story.
