For fans of: Shopping, The Raincoats, and Glasgow's DIY pop scene.

Homosapien brings Nightshift's playful instincts into sharper focus. The band records in its rehearsal space, allowing wiry guitars, buoyant bass, and restless drums to retain a warm, communal feel. Eothen Stearn's vocals carry songs about love, self-preservation, politics, and the pressures of everyday life with humor and clear-eyed urgency.

"Crystal Ball" introduces a collection that makes room for catchy refrains and unexpected instrumental touches. Fiddle, accordion, and tin whistle expand the palette, while the core band keeps the songs direct. Nightshift's experimental streak remains central, now channeled into some of its most tuneful material.
