Talking Heads “Speaking in Tongues” CD

• Talking Heads' 1983 fifth studio album.
• Includes 'Burning Down the House,' 'Girlfriend Is Better' and 'This Must Be the Place.'
• A self-produced album built around interlocking funk rhythms and layered textures.

For fans of: Tom Tom Club, David Byrne, ESG

Speaking in Tongues makes intricate arrangements feel loose and inviting. Bass, percussion and clipped guitar parts interlock beneath David Byrne's vocals, giving the songs a strong physical momentum. Talking Heads keep adding small details without overloading the groove, and the warmth of the closing track reveals the tenderness beneath the album's restless surface.
