Tame Impala “Currents” CD

• Kevin Parker's 2015 Tame Impala album.
• Includes "Let It Happen" and "The Less I Know the Better."
• Psychedelic pop built around synthesizers, bass and dance rhythms.

For fans of: Pond, MGMT, Unknown Mortal Orchestra

Currents turns personal upheaval into fluid, vividly detailed psychedelic pop. Kevin Parker threads falsetto melodies through elastic bass, glowing synthesizers and tightly shaped drums, allowing songs to dissolve and rebuild around a groove. Its dance-floor pull coexists with anxious self-examination, giving the polished surfaces a vulnerable, unsettled center throughout the album.
