Tame Impala's third studio album, released in 2015.
Written, performed, and produced by Kevin Parker.
Includes Let It Happen, The Less I Know the Better, and Eventually.
For fans of: Unknown Mortal Orchestra, Toro y Moi, and psychedelic synth pop.
Currents moves Tame Impala's psychedelic sound toward elastic bass lines, detailed synthesizers, and dance rhythms. Kevin Parker's voice remains soft and questioning at the center, giving the album's polished surfaces a vulnerable edge. Extended grooves and compact pop songs share the same careful sense of texture, making the record both immediate and rich in small discoveries.
