This Windham Hill collection approaches the holiday repertoire through the touch and tone of individual instrumentalists. Piano, guitar and other acoustic voices give the melodies different colors, with arrangements that leave room for resonance and quiet detail. The sequence favors a calm, reflective atmosphere while allowing the performers' contrasting styles to remain clearly audible.
