Brian Tyler expands Koji Kondo's iconic themes into sweeping orchestral pieces that carry the scale of the film while keeping every melody instantly recognizable
Pressed on red and green vinyl in a gatefold jacket with animation artwork - a clean, visually committed edition for soundtrack collectors
For fans of: Koji Kondo, Brian Tyler, John Powell, video game and film score collectors
The Super Mario Bros. Movie score brings a familiar world into a full cinematic frame, with composer Brian Tyler building on the original themes by Koji Kondo. Those melodies stay front and center, now expanded into sweeping orchestral pieces that carry the scale of the film while keeping the character intact. This is a big, polished soundtrack. Bright motifs, playful pacing, and dramatic lifts that feel earned. It plays like a modern film score but never loses the identity that made these themes stick in the first place. Pressed on red and green vinyl, housed in a gatefold jacket with artwork pulled from the film's animation team, this edition leans fully into the world it represents. Clean presentation, strong visual tie-in, and a soundtrack that holds up on its own. A solid pickup for soundtrack collectors and anyone who has spent time with these themes over the years.
