V/A “Windham Hill Holiday Guitar Collection” CD

• Holiday collection centered on acoustic guitar performances.
• Features Steve Erquiaga, Tuck Andress and Alex de Grassi.
• Includes "Angels We Have Heard on High" and "The Holly and the Ivy."

For fans of: Will Ackerman, John Fahey, William Tyler

Windham Hill's guitar players give familiar holiday melodies room to resonate through fingerpicked patterns, ringing chords and subtle rhythmic variation. The collection's interest comes from the differences between the performers: some arrangements are spare and reflective, while others introduce a gentle swing. The shared acoustic focus makes the program feel coherent without flattening those individual approaches.
