The 2005 release by "Toybox," a music unit led by Kenichiro Isoda, who has been active as a composer/producer since the 1980s in a wide range of fields including ambient, minimal music, folk music, and film music, is finally being released on vinyl for the first time. Haruomi Hosono participates on two tracks.

"Yellow Magic Orchestra ('78)" is a work that can be called a great legacy in the history of Japanese pop music, and by extension, the history of all genres such as techno and new wave. This masterpiece of the century, which was built primarily on electronics, has been reconstructed entirely with acoustic instruments by "Toybox," a unit led by Kenichiro Isoda, a genius of ambient/minimal/film music who is widely known for works such as "Oscillation Circuit" and the soundtrack to the film "Navi's Love." Haruomi Hosono also makes a guest appearance on vocals, making this a must-listen for YMO fans.

A rich tapestry of adaptations born from a loving adherence to the original work and exploratory reinterpretation. This fantastical cover album, which leaps dynamically with a sometimes freaky, yet strangely warm, spirit, is released on Disk Union's label "Flowmango".
