New Orleans duo Caspian Halliwell and RJ Santos combine garage punk, country, and blues.
A ragged, melodic set shaped by heartbreak, wry humor, and the sound of steel guitar.
Includes “Stalks,” “When We First Met,” and “Blue Rose.”
The Holy Cross Tigers brings Twisted Teens’ scrappy songwriting to Sub Pop. The pair’s music lets country and blues feeling rub against punk’s rough edges, with Caspian Halliwell’s vocals and RJ Santos’s steel guitar giving the songs an immediately recognizable character.
The album follows a breakup through frustration, self-examination, and moments of hard-won perspective. Its homemade textures leave the hooks intact, making room for both a danceable pulse and emotional wear. This is the limited Loser Edition on maroon vinyl.
